How to Meet Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World

Meeting Mickey Mouse at the Walt Disney World Resort is no difficulty. He is the most requested character across all DisneyParks around the world. At all parks, he has an official meet and greet location that is open basically all day. Let's go over all the places that you can meet Mickey Mouse.

Magic Kingdom

Town Square Theatre

At the Magic Kingdom, Mickey is available all day (Open to close) at the Town Square Theatre in Main Street USA. Mickey is in his Magician costume, and uses his magic to speak with the guests. He does NOT use his magic in any other location. In my opinion, this is the absolute WORST place to meet Mickey Mouse as it has the longest wait times out of all four parks to meet Mickey Mouse. Lines easily reach 60+ minutes during the most crowded days. If you do want to meet talking Mickey Mouse, I suggest you reserve your FOURTH FastPass+ or go in the late evening. Waits in the late evening are around 15-30 minutes. Mickey does NOT meet during Extra Magic Hours in the Morning and the Evening. Mickey rarely runs out of Fastpasses, and if he does, the lines for other rides will be much longer.

Mickey Mouse meets directly next to Tony's Town Square Restaurant, and to the right of the train station. Inside, you'll find two lines. The line to the left is where you meet Tinker Bell, and the line to the right is where you'll find Mickey Mouse.

After you have a brief conversation with Mickey, you'll be led into a little gift shop that sells plenty if merchandise for Mickey and Tinker Bell. (Tinker Bell's side of the theatre will be explained in a later article.

Epcot

Epcot Character Spot

Over at Epcot, Mickey Mouse can be met at the Epcot Character Spot over in Future World West. This location may be a little difficult to find, but I hope this helps.

This location is located within the breezeway between the Fountain of Nations and Future World West. Epcot Character Spot is on the way to some of Epcot's major attractions, such as Soarin', The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Captain EO, Journey into Imagination, Living With The Land and the Circle of Life. In my opinion, this is the BEST place to meet Mickey Mouse. Mickey meets from park open to park close every day. Lines are usually 10-15 minutes in the early afternoon, and you may use a Tier 2 Fastpass+ at this location. Since most of the other options for a Tier 2 Fastpass+ at Epcot usually have short waits (excluding Mission:SPACE), this Fastpass+ may be worth your while. One of the best things about this location is that you get THREE characters done at one time! Minnie and Goofy also appear in this location, but appear in separate photos. This is also the only regular location that features Mickey Mouse in his traditional costume. Here's some photos of this location:

Innoventions VISA Spot

If you happen to have a Disney VISA Credit Card, these three characters (and occasionally Pluto) meet guests inside Innoventions West. I've never met these guys at this location, as I do not have a Disney VISA. It is located here:

Here's a photo of the location from AllEars.net

Garden Grill (DINING)

Over at the Land Pavilion, Mickey meets his guests over at the Garden Grill Restaurant for Dinner. Reservations are strongly recommended. Chip, Dale and Pluto also join Mickey here. I haven't been there in many years, but here are some pictures from our most recent visit:

Disney's Hollywood Studios

The Magic of Disney Animation

Mickey only meets his fans at the Magic of Disney Animation building over in Animation Courtyard. He usually starts meeting his guests at 10am and departs at 7:30pm, but check the MyDisneyExperience app for times. This location does NOT offer Fastpass+. Waits are usually around 35-40 minutes all day, and may get shorter in the evening or early morning. In this location, Mickey dresses in his Sorcerer Mickey costume.

As of October 10th, Minnie, Ralph, Vannellope, Mr. Incredible and Frozone also meet in this building, but in separate lines. (Minnie, Ralph and Vannellope are expected to move out soon).

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Adventurer's Outpost

Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom, Mickey meets over at the Adventurer's Outpost in Discovery Island. This location is where Mickey moved after Camp Minnie-Mickey was seized by Avatar construction. Mickey meets in this location with Minnie, and is the only location to have both characters in the same photo. Fastpass+ is recommended here as waits reach around 25-40 minutes. The line also moves extremely slowly here, so be prepared to wait for a little while.

This location is near the bridge between Asia and Discovery Island, and is open practically all day.

Again, this is the only location where you'll find Mickey and Minnie in the same photo.

Tusker House Restaurant (Dining)

Mickey also appears at the Tusker House Restaurant over in Africa with Goofy, Donald and Daisy for Breakfast and Lunch. I've never been to this location, so I do not have photos unfortunately. Reservations are strongly recommended at this location.

Resorts

Disney's Contemporary Resort (DINING)

Mickey joins guests for Breakfast and Dinner over at Chef Mickey's in the Grand Canyon Concourse at Disney's Contemporary Resort. I've been there many years ago for dinner. This restaurant books fast, so make your reservations early! Pluto, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy also meet guests here. Chip and Dale have shown up from time to time, but they are not regular.

Disney's Polynesian Resort (DINING)

Mickey also appears with Pluto, Lilo and Stitch at Ohana for breakfast only. I've never been to this location either. This is the only regular location to meet Lilo anywhere at Walt Disney World. Reservations are strongly recommended.

I hope this first post has been helpful in you finding the big cheese!
