Welcome to Characters in Wonderland! This blog is all about news for Walt Disney World, trip reports, and special event reports. Here is where you'll find all of the greatest information on how to meet your favorite Disney characters at the Walt Disney World Resort. Use the toolbar to the right to help navigate through the site.
Under the How To Series button, you'll find links to articles on how to meet your favorite Disney characters. Currently, the only article we have is about Mickey Mouse. Articles on how to meet Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and more are in the works.
Under the Photo Galleries button, you'll find links to pictures to some of the special character offerings at Walt Disney World. Currently, you'll find galleries for Villains Unleashed, Rock Your Disney Side, Fantasmic Sets, and the Dinoland Dance Party. Galleries for Star Wars Weekends are in the works. Individual articles about each of these offerings will come in the future. These will be located in Event Reviews, which is located directly below Photo Galleries.
Under Parks, you'll find pictures of all of the regular characters at each of Walt Disney World's four theme parks. Check the MyDisneyExperience app for when these characters will be out during your visit. Epcot and Magic Kingdom are complete, while Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom will come in the future.
Under Characters, you'll find a complete listing of every character that I've ever met at Walt Disney World or the Disneyland Resort. As of 10/12/14, only regular characters at Magic Kingdom and Epcot are listed on the right side. In addition, characters from any of the 53 Walt Disney Animated Classics are also listed. Characters from Live-Action films, Pixar, TV, Direct to DVD Films, Theme Parks, or non-Disney Characters are not listed yet, but are coming in the near future. Each photo has the following information:
Park: Area or Event where the photo was taken
Some photos may have something in BOLD written next to them:
DISCONTINUED LOCATION Location still exists, but this character no longer meets there.
LOCATION CLOSED Location no longer exists.
DISCONTINUED CHARACTER Character no longer makes appearances at Walt Disney World.
DINING Photo was taken at a Character Dining location. Reservations are strongly recommended.
SPECIAL EVENT Photo was taken at a special event; some may require a separate admission ticket.
RANDOM/RARE Location is not regular for the character.
If nothing is written in bold next to the character information, it can be assumed that the character makes regular appearances at this location. Their schedules may be found on the MyDisneyExperience app.
